Plains Collection: Before Odegard Carpets introduced and began producing hand knotted carpets in plain or simple designs in the late eighties, the minimal design high quality hand knotted carpet simply did not exist. Odegard pioneered the use of vegetal dyes and the rich abrash they create in plain handmade carpets of luxury and distinction, and is still the vanguard of this style today.
Youngtse Quality: Tibetan for “Best of the Best,” Youngtse is Odegard’s signature quality, totally processed by hand from hand carded and hand spun Himalayan wool. Natural vegetal and Swiss dyes are used to produce a spectrum of over 4,000 complex colors in over 300 designs. Youngtse is the most luxurious collection of our hand-knotted carpets, arguably the most imitated in the world for area rugs and hand-knotted carpets today.
