La Paz Collection: The La Paz Collection of carpets is highly influenced by pre-Colombian textile design elements, vegetal dye color palettes and weaving techniques using hand processed wool. These textiles emerged in the coastal cultures stretching along the Andes from Southern Chile to Northern Peru during the 17th and 18th centuries. Odegard transformed the original textile designs using many of the same basic elements combined with weaving techniques for the floor.
Youngtse Quality: Tibetan for “Best of the Best,” Youngtse is Odegard’s signature quality, totally processed by hand from hand carded and hand spun Himalayan wool. Natural vegetal and Swiss dyes are used to produce a spectrum of over 4,000 complex colors in over 300 designs. Youngtse is the most luxurious collection of our hand-knotted carpets, arguably the most imitated in the world for area rugs and hand-knotted carpets today.
